Tour has been moved up by one hour – New tour time is 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM
If you cannot attend, email Crystal Ackerman at
Those attending please note:

  • Please arrive early to allow time for parking and security! Parking is not provided.
  • Meet in the Atrium. We will have the IFMA sign set up for a visual reference.
  • Keep security screening in mind, so no multipurpose tools, knives, etc.
  • Next, we need to know if you are joining us for happy hour afterward.
The event is full with a few on a wait list, but they will be joining everyone at the Happy Hour. The restaurant needs to know how many to expect. The Happy Hour afterward allows for more FM’s to attend, let us know your plans.

So, many FM’s in a room at one time, interesting.

The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) was founded in 1980. Today it is the world's largest and most widely recognized international association for facility management professionals. The Denver Chapter of IFMA was founded two years later in 1982, making it one of the original chapters since IFMA was established. Since the chapter was established, it has been the largest chapter in the state of Colorado and ranks within the twelve largest chapters in the world. In the past decade, the chapter has won numerous IFMA's Awards of Excellence as a large chapter to include: 2007 Website, 2008 Membership, 2008 Professional Development, 2009 Large Chapter of the Year, 2010 Newsletter, 2011 Website, 2011 Membership, and 2014 Professional Development. The awards reflect the chapter's commitment to IFMA's mission of "globally advance and support the practice of the facility management profession".

Annually the chapter reviews and updates its Strategic Plan to ensure it is matched with IFMA's Strategic Road Map. Learn more on the chapter's Strategic Plan.

World Workplace 2016 General Session "Share Your FM Story"

This year's general session was represented by six IFMA members and their diverse paths and levels who took to the stage to share their FM stories. Their stories started with "The Student" and ends with the "The Veteran" ranging from hysterical and life-changing. inspirational, tear-jerking, how they started, what they've gained over the years, and a update on each of their FM careers are headed.

The Denver Chapter of IFMA was privileged to have its own Chapter President Carolyn McGary to be one of those presenters. Her story was of "The Over-achiever". Take a look!!!
